Key Responsibilities
- Design 3D CAD models and production layouts for bespoke conveyor structures using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Calculate mechanical requirements including motor torque, drive configurations, structural load distribution, and belt tensioning profiles.
- Collaborate directly with the fabrication workshop floor to troubleshoot assembly profiles and verify quality control specs.
- Create structural Bill of Materials (BOM) asset documentation for structural procurement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of dedicated engineering experience within the conveyor or automated material handling sector.
- Software Tools: Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D parametric design platforms.
- Technical Depth: Deep understanding of drive systems, industrial gearboxes, pneumatic arrays, and sensor integration lines.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
